The Fort Worth Afterschool Music Academy is a nonprofit program dedicated to providing free, high-quality music education to students of all backgrounds. Our curriculum offers a strong foundation across piano, guitar, and string studies, with a focus on building technical skill, music literacy, and performance readiness. Vocal training includes choir ensembles and individual voice development, giving students the opportunity to grow in confidence and artistry.

In addition to classroom instruction, students are connected to Fort Worth’s musical heritage through the Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir, a nationally recognized ensemble founded in 1964 that continues to inspire excellence and tradition in community performance.
